When the weather outside is frightful, inside the gym it’s so delightful.  Our PFA class and Expansion classes take turns combining in the gym for gross motor time.  This allows our students opportunities to make new friends and learn from each other.  Our older Expansion students tend to take those who are younger than them underneath their wing, holding hands as they run and play or helping them up when they fall.  On this day the teacher was doing an active listening lesson.  She turned away from the girls to focus on the boys for one minute.  When she turned back around the girls had placed themselves in this position.  We couldn’t help but snap a picture.  You can’t tell one class from the other or one ability from another.  What amazing friendships they have formed.  It doesn’t get much better than this in preschool land.
