As an update for all of the students and families who have elected to participate in the remote  learning platform here at SHS, please make note of the information included in this news release.

There will be a scheduled drive thru pick up for all "remote learners" on Friday, August 28, 2020.  This will take place between the hours of 12:00pm - 2:00pm.  Please plan to drive thru the circle loop of SHS during this time frame.  Your child will be given a school issued chromebook and a charging cord.  Attached to the chromebook will be the username and password for the Edgenuity Online Learning Platform.

Mr. Caldwell, guidance counselor, will have your courses uploaded  into the platform by this time.  After viewing your course list, if you have any questions or concerns please contact him directly.  The initial course schedule will be modeled based upon the credit requirements and course offerings that your child was scheduled to be enrolled within.  The school year will begin for all students on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 8:00am.  Students should plan to commit 5 hours each day to learning, instruction, and project completion.

Of note, all remote learners will be required to submit a semester project before the end of the semester.  This will be graded, and will count for 15% of the final course grade issued.  Semester project options will be shared with both in-person learners and remote learners by October 9, 2020.  This academic initiative will serve in lieu of the traditional semester exams for all high school students.

Throughout the semester, please communicate with the following school support staff with regard to updates, feedback, and any immediate or ongoing questions:
