Moulton Spring Pictures are in! You can stop by Monday May 11th to pick them up, by calling the office to set up a time, or during the locker clean out day (information coming soon).

Rams Family, This afternoon, the Governor of Illinois suspended in person instruction for the remainder of the school year and districts will rely on their Remote Learning Plans. As decisions are made on cleaning out lockers and end of year events, we will share it with you.

Mrs. Bennett's class working on their Wax Museum project. For this assignment, the students were asked to select a famous person, read and research about their life, and write a five paragraph paper on the individual. Upcoming tasks will include creating a poster and becoming the famous person during a Wax Museum presentation. All 5th grade students will be participating in this project.

The weather is warming up and our Moulton Middle School fourth graders are walking, listening, and learning with our Walk Kits! We are so thankful to the PTO and The Walking Classroom for funding this program. Our students have learned about the human body, Earth's layers, maps, volcanoes, and so much more while getting exercise and fresh air. This is truly one of their favorite parts of our day!

Homecoming afternoon events have been cancelled due to the weather. High school students will be allowed to leave at 2:15 today if they have transportation. Students that need to ride the bus home will remain at school until normal dismissal time. Football game time remains 7:00.

The SHS Envirothon Team competed on April 12th at Ballard Nature Center in Altamont placed 1st out of all the teams in Shelby County. We also Placed 3rd in the overall competition and scored a 96% on the Rangelands of the USA Test. Great Job! Dear Parents and Guardians, This morning the Shelbyville Police Department made the school district aware of a threatening message posted on Facebook that referenced SHS. After investigation by the police department it was determined that the message was not referencing Shelbyville High School. The district is grateful to our local law enforcement for their support in ensuring our students’ safety. Remembrance Wreath Project Thank you to everyone for supporting the Remembrance Wreath project. We had overwhelming encouragement from numerous individuals and organizations. As always, we welcome feedback and fresh ideas that might help this project improve next year. This year we placed 100+ wreaths in Glenwood Cemetery. The students were also given a guided tour which highlighted local history. The project was at 4:00pm on WAND on December 7th and will be included in the local newspaper publications. Angel of Love Tree Book Drive - Students in Mrs. Biehler's Shelbyville High School Early Education Class are holding a book drive to collect new books for the Angel of Love Tree program. The community is encouraged to help the class with this project. If you would like to donate books for the project you may drop them off at the Shelbyville High School office. The new books can be for toddlers through age 13. They are asking that all donated books are turned into the Shelbyville High School office by November 20th. If you have any questions you can contact one of the students in the class or contact Mrs. Biehler at 217-774-3926.

Section 19 FFA Fair was September 9, 2017. This year four Shelbyville FFA members competed at Fayette County Fairgrounds. Luke Jezgars exhibited in the Poultry division. He received A ratings for all of his 8 entries. Sydney Trainor competed in the Beef and Swine division. She received all A ratings. She also placed third with her heifer. Chase Trainor exhibited in the Swine Division. He received all A ratings. He also received Grand Champion Crossbred Spring Barrow and Reserve Champion Registered Spring Barrow. Hallie Horsman showed in the Equine department. She received all A ratings. She won Halter Geldings 6 years and older, Grand Champion Halter Gelding, Champion Showmanship, and Champion Horsemanship.
