Shelbyville High School Named Bronze Medal School

Shelbyville High School Principal Shane Schuricht is pleased to announce that Shelbyville High School has been named a 2017 Bronze Medal School by US News & World Report.  Only high schools within the top 30% are included in this prestigious honor.  The US News & World Report rankings included more than 22,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Schuricht said, “This is a testament to all the hard work and effort that is displayed by all stakeholders in our community. Congratulations to the students, parents and staff of Shelbyville High School on receiving this prestigious recognition!”

Schools that received gold, silver or bronze medals were recognized based on their performance on state assessments, disadvantaged students performing better than the state average, graduation rates and preparation for college-level coursework.
