High School Football

The health and safety of our community and student athletes are of the utmost importance.  Please note that the following restrictions have been developed in response to the expectations established by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

A total of 700 spectators will be allowed at all home football games occurring in Shelbyville.  Per IDPH All Sports Policy, all outdoor events can occur with an established spectator policy amounting to 25% of the overall capacity.  For CIC football games, 100 tickets will be provided by the host school to the away team.

All high school games will be live streamed on the NFHS Network.

  • At all home football games, spectator tickets will be equitably distributed to involved students.  Those student athletes will provide game passes to family members interested in attending.  The spectator pass must be shown at the home event prior to entry into the facility.  Having a spectator pass will guarantee admission into all Shelbyville football games occurring at HOME.

  • A total of 100 spectator tickets will be allowed entry into away contests (all CIC conference schools).  Some schools are pursuing a ticket distribution plan that is entirely digital.  We will communicate the ticket distribution method of each opposing school in advance.  Ticket passes used for Shelbyville High School will not be valid at away contests.

  • Cheerleaders will be allowed at all home games, and most away contests.  The band, when available, will be allowed to perform at all home games.

  • After tickets have been distributed, all other available space within the spectator limitations (IDPH All Sports Policy) will be offered to Shelbyville fans on a first come first serve basis at the front ticket gate.  High school students will be allowed entry absent of parental guardianship.  Student spectators from Shelbyville High School will have reserved seating in the north end zone.  All other students/children must be accompanied by an adult guardian when attending home football games.

  • Spectators, game managers, and participants must wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times.  A social distance of at least 3ft-6ft. should be maintained between non-household individuals.

  • Self-certification of COVID 19 symptoms will be required upon entry.

  • Access to locker rooms will be limited.  Participants should arrive at the event dressed for play.  Additionally, participants should bring their own source of water and refrain from using any communal sources of hydration.

  • At this time, attendance fees will not be accepted at any spectator events in the Shelbyville School District.  For all who wish to contribute, donations will be accepted on behalf of Shelbyville Rams Athletics upon entry.

  • A concession stand will be available, and the Booster Club will be selling food at the event.

  • Access to live streaming will be available at all events occurring within the Shelbyville School District.  All games will be live streamed using the NFHS Network and the Pixellot Camera System installed at the Shelbyville High School Football Field.

Violations of the policy will result in removal from the contest and possibly further events.  If the family of an involved student is in need of additional tickets, we ask that you first inquire with other parents about unused tickets, before checking with school administration or the associated coaching staff.
