SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT

format dependent upon social distancing restrictions and healthcare guidance

June 20, 2020 | 7:00pm @ Shelbyville High School

Many of our senior level students need to be informed of the scholarships and financial assistance that will be available to them as they embark on their journey outside of high school.  With this in mind, we will plan to have some version of Senior Awards Night on June 20, 2020.  If social distancing and healthcare guidance allows for a traditional experience, we will pursue that path.  If this is not allowable or recommended, Senior Awards Night will continue to take place on this date with a digitally adapted version of the experience.  Additionally, a detailed list of all scholarship and award recipients will be provided at the graduation ceremony.   Regardless of the scenario, a professional videographer will produce a quality production to be shared with family and friends.

Of note, all awards and certificates of achievement are ready for distribution.  We will announce decisions regarding the Senior Awards Night FORMAT by June 12.

PROM

July 18, 2020 | 7:00pm | @ Shelbyville Event Center

    • We have coordinated an alternate date for Prom with the Shelbyville Event Center.  The school district will fund this experience with assistance provided by the Post Prom Committee and Tad Mayhall (National Guard / Edwards Jones Investments).  There will be a handful of post prom activities scheduled for after the event.

    • If social distancing restrictions are still in place on this date, or if healthcare guidance prohibits gatherings of this sort, the event will be cancelled.  It will not be rescheduled in this scenario.  Please be mindful of this possibility when giving consideration to potential purchases, knowing that we are making every effort to provide this experience to our students, while also being cognizant of the realization of all current and future restrictions.

GRADUATION

June 27, 2020 - 7:00pm

Traditional Ceremony on the Shelbyville High School Football Field. The event will be broadcasted via radio, facebook, and youtube video.  Social distancing recommendations will be in adherence at this school event.  A professional videographer will produce a quality production of the experience to be shared with family and friends. Additionally, all families will be provided with a complimentary 8x10 photo of their graduating senior, and a digital copy of the production produced by the professional videographer.  We have recently entered into partnership with Miller Media.  They will be broadcasting the ceremony on their local radio station.

July 25, 2020 - 7:00pm

Alternative graduation date if restrictions and healthcare guidance is not relaxed by the previously scheduled date of June 27, 2020.  We will plan to have a traditional ceremony on July 25, 2020, in lieu of June 27, 2020, if necessary.  Social distancing recommendations will be in adherence at this school event. In the scenario that a traditional ceremony is not possible on this date either, school officials will make arrangements to proceed with a digitally adapted version of graduation.
