The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2025 is scheduled to occur on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The procession will begin at 7:00pm in the SHS Gymnasium. In addition to the in-person experience, a radio broadcast of the ceremony will be aired on WSVZ Cruisin’ 98.3 thanks to the Hart Media Group. A professional videographer will also collect comprehensive footage that will be shared freely after its final composition. Listed below are the specific event details for your review.

Event Expectations
Please understand that full compliance is both expected and appreciated. This has required a considerable amount of coordination, and we have done everything we can to make this ceremonial experience possible for our senior students and their families.
There will be designated sections of seating for both students and spectators. Graduates will be seated at the center of the gymnasium. The spectators in attendance will be allowed to sit in the available bleachers. We will have special seating available for people with mobility issues in the bottom SW corner of the gym (regular seats on the floor level). We will NOT have a limit on the amount of guests or spectators allowed to attend the event. We ask that you do not bring cow bells, air horns, or other noise makers. They can be very alarming and especially bothersome in close quarters.
A diploma case will be distributed to the students on the event stage. Seniors will be directed to pick up their certified diploma, grad/prom pictures, and their senior athletic poster at the school entrance area after they have been dismissed.
SPECIAL NOTES FOR GRADUATING SENIORS
Seniors should report to the high school gymnasium for attendance at 6:15pm on May 16, 2026.
Tassels should be worn on the right side. Students will ceremonially move their tassels to the left side during the ceremony.
NO DECORATED CAPS. If you want to keep your specific cap, write your name on the interior somewhere. Keep in mind that you all will be throwing them in the air toward the end of the ceremony.
Seniors in National Honor Society will wear their NHS cords and a specialized tassel during the ceremony. There are no other cords or tassels that are approved for the ceremony without the prior approval of the building administration.
Seating will be assigned for all graduating students.
The Valedictorian and Salutatorian will give a speech during the ceremony. All individuals will be informed of this responsibility.
A detailed sequence of events will be included in the graduation program.
Junior Marshals will lead graduates during the ceremony.
