In what has become an annual event, the Daddy Daughter Dance hosted by Shelbyville High School, provided girls with a chance to spend a special evening with their dad. Of note, persons of significant influence were allowed to attend in place of a parent.
THANK YOU: Camice Barker of Barker’s Balloonery and Tuxedo Rental, who decorated the event at no cost to the school district. Her creativity continues to amaze us all.
THANK YOU: Jamie McDonald, who provided photography services all throughout the event. For that, we will all be forever thankful.
THANK YOU: Grammy's Floral, who donated 250 flowers to the event. Because of this, every girl was given a long stem carnation flower upon entering the dance.
THANK YOU: To all who helped organize special booths at the event. HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville PTO, National Honor Society, Culinary Club, Key Club, and Hair MD.

THANK YOU: To all of the awesome dads who danced their little hearts out all night. Your dance moves were rivaled only by those of your daughter(s).
We were so encouraged seeing all of the eager participants that shared in this special experience, and we remain humbly committed to creating these types of opportunities for the families in our town. Perhaps we are biased, but we wholeheartedly believe that there is no better place to raise a child than right here in Shelbyville. A beautiful community, supportive families, and a first class school system are just a few reasons to be thankful and proud.
It may take a village to raise a child, but it is most certainly the people that make the place. In total, we hosted over 300 guests at this event. To all those that took part, we hope you had a memorable and heartfelt experience.
The proceeds from the Daddy Daughter Dance will help pay for the junior/senior prom at Shelbyville High School. Be on the lookout for the Mommy and Son Night Out!
